In March of 2013, Lyndhurst City Council passed a resolution that requested their city name to be removed from the new library being built in South Euclid.
This is a result of Cuyahoga County Public Library deciding to sell the Telling Mansion (that has housed the South Euclid/Lyndhurst library branch since 1952) and build a new library over a mile away from the existing location. This would make the library not accessible for high school, middle school students and residents as it is now…. within walking distance.
CCPL has sent out a survey to library users. It is shown below.
What are they really trying to prove? That they CARE what the community thinks?
After thousands of people signed petitions, protested, rallied and donated to the cause saying they DIDN’T WANT IT?
After hundreds of people signed protested, rallied and donated to the cause saying they DIDN’T WANT IT?
After 19 months have gone by before they even acknowledged Lyndhurst City Councils request?
